Goldwind honors EPCOS in China

Chinese wind turbine manufacturer Goldwind Science and Technology has honored EPCOS Sales China with its 2016 Technical Cooperation Award. for the company's dedicated and excellent technical and after-sales support. Goldwind is one of the world’s largest wind power companies and the leading wind turbine manufacturer in China. TDK supplies Goldwind with EPCOS 3-line power EMC filters and aluminum electrolytic capacitors, which are manufactured in China by the plants in Hongqi and Xiamen, respectively. These components are installed in Goldwind turbines in wind farms located around the world and throughout China – especially in the remote desert regions of the north.

EPCOS China's sales staff and field application engineers support Goldwind with a wide range of services. These services are provided in cooperation with the local distribution partner, Yuan Liu Electronics and include initial design-in activities, simulation models, field testing of turbines under desert conditions, trial runs, production of customized products, and comprehensive after-sales service. The field tests are especially challenging, as they usually take place in the winter, when the temperature often falls to below -20 °C.
